We understand that every individual is unique, and so is the way they communicate and engage with the world. At Capaz Health, our Behaviour Support practitioners create a calm, safe, and respectful environment where the person and their support network feel heard, understood, and valued.
Our approach is grounded in Behaviour Science, but always person-centred. We look beyond surface-level behaviours to understand the function, what the behaviour may be trying to express or achieve — and consider the environmental, emotional and relational factors that may be contributing.
We draw on a range of evidence-informed frameworks, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), trauma-informed practice, functional assessment, and capacity-building strategies. These are tailored to suit each person’s goals, preferences and everyday context.
Whether we are working directly with an individual, alongside their family or carers, or supporting the wider team, we focus on collaboration, compassion, and practical strategies that support long-term wellbeing and meaningful participation in life.
